Jenna's 7th

I made this card for my daughter who turns 7 on Friday. I can hardly believe she is 7! Anyway, she loved the colours we chose for her invitations so I decided to make her card using the same colours. I also used my new cupcake dies for the Big Shot! So much fun. And the polka dot texturz again. I also crimped the base of the cupcake. The ribbon in stamped on with black StazOn (wish I had brown) but it still looks good. The hearts are from the SU 3 heart punch. Added dazzling diamonds to the flames and a little spot on each heart.

Sympathy x2

These are the 2 sympathy cards I have made for friends who lost their husbands in an avalanche this past week. We are so thankful that my brother in law is home safe and sound but so heartbroken for the other families who are not so lucky.

Party Invites

It has been ages since I stamped! I whipped these up tonight for my daughter's 7th birthday party next weekend. Since it's spring break here next week we need to get them out tomorrow. We did pink for the girls and turquoise for the boys. I got to use my new Texurz pads which was fun. The Chocolate Chip piece on the front is polka-dot textured.

I hope to get to do more stamping soon. Unfortunately I need to make 2 sympathy cards, but thankfully not 3. My brother in law was caught in an avalanche this week and while he escaped unharmed the two he was with did not make it out. We are deeply saddened by this loss as they were all very close. My heart goes out to the two widows and their children. One was my son's first grade teacher who is also pregnant with her second child and the other is left with 4 young children. It is just so tragic.

Champs!

I have been so busy organizing our annual cheer competition at West Edmonton Mall, coaching, dealing with the new house, etc. that I have not had a chance to stamp in ages. Hopefully soon! I just wanted to share this picture of Jenna with our first place trophy from the competition! The girls nailed their routine! Way to go Parkland Spirit All-Stars!

Masculine Birthday

Cards for guys are the toughest! I thought this one would be great for many guys I know. Love the Cheers to You set! Card base is Naturals Ivory with Really Rust layer and More Mustard designer paper and then another layer of Naturals Ivory. Stamped the beer in black once on white and once on mustard and cut them out. The white is mounted on a dimensional as is the "c" which is chipboard coloured with a marker. The rest of celebrate is in black. Also did some paper piercing under the Ivory layer.
